Here I am standing in front of one of my favorite artists in the world, Iranian artist, Monir Sharoudy Farmanfarmaian. I think this was the best artist that I saw all week. Her work is hard to come by here but she had wonderful pieces at the Armory Show at Haines Gallery from San Francisco. She has been working for many, many years but is becoming more known here…
It was a great honor to attend the opening of the Whitney Bienniel this year and see my jewelry line, ARENAgal by Renée Riccardo prominently displayed on the front counter of the Whitney Store. I had a wonderful time viewing the magical installations of Will Ryman at the Paul Kasmin Galleries in Chelsea last night. The after party at Acme on Great Jones Street was a throwback to another time with great jazz and the Swells of the art world.
